Kitchen Display System that keeps the pass in order
A Kitchen Display System (KDS) is a screen in the kitchen that shows orders as they are placed at the POS, instead of relying on printed tickets. In Restovax, each order appears with its items, modifiers, course and the time since it was fired, and is bumped when it is plated. Restovax can also print a kitchen ticket (KOT) where a screen is not practical.
The problem this solves
Paper tickets fall, smudge and get shuffled out of order. A screen keeps every open order visible, in sequence, with a clock on it — so the kitchen works the oldest table first and the pass knows what is coming.
What Restovax does here
- Orders route from the POS to the kitchen screen the moment they are fired
- Each ticket shows items, modifiers, course and time since fired
- Bump a ticket when it is plated to clear it from the active view
- Appended items arrive as a new run, not a reprint of the whole table
- Printed kitchen tickets (KOT) as an alternative or a backup to the screen

How it works
-
1
Order is fired at the POS
A server sends the order from the table or counter.
-
2
It appears on the kitchen screen
The ticket shows on the relevant station with a running timer.
-
3
Kitchen works and bumps
Staff prepare the order and bump the ticket when it is done, which removes it from the active list.
-
4
Additions come through cleanly
If the table adds a round later, those items print or display as a separate run so nothing is re-made.
What changes for the business
Orders worked in the order they came in
Fewer missed modifiers and missed courses
No lost tickets on the floor
